Hello Ant, Thanks for your reply. I have a legacy proprietary rule engine in my application, which can handle simple logical operators like AND OR, etc. To make this rule analysis engine more generic and support more operators and expressions, I'm looking out for open source rule engine implementation libraries. Specifically I want to support string manipulation rules such as input.firstname contains("fred") or input.lastname.matches ("%de villers%"). In general I should be able to match a string with a regular expression and I should be able to convey the same through a rule. It would be of great help if you can point to the exact source code where the changes would be required, if any. Thanks again,
